Wendy Canning is an accomplished dancer, choreographer, sculptor and certified practitioner of various forms of complementary medicine and the healing arts. Wendy grew up in the culture-rich environment of New York City, amidst a family of artists and musicians that included a Van Cliburn award winner. She began her career at the age of 12 and has performed in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. Wendy is a top professional champion in Dance Sport, soon to be an Olympic event. She is also a judge registered with the National Dance Council of America. She holds two degrees from The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance in London, England and formerly served on the Board of Trustees for the U.S.I.S.T.D.

As a choreographer, performer and instructor, some of Wendy's many credits include:

  • Guest instructor in England at the London College and on staff for the Spencer Dance Centre in London.
  • Judge and trainer for the U.S. Amateur Ballroom Dance Association at the University of Pennsylvania and Rutgers University.
  • Staff trainer for Fred Astaire, Arthur Murrary and many independent dance studios.
  • Choreographer and performer for special events for Bally's Casino in Atlantic City, The Arthritis Foundation, the Waldorf Astoria in NYC, the Hotel Bonaventure in Montreal, Canada and the El San Juan in Puerto Rico to name a few.

Wendy's love of dance and movement led her to study fine arts and sculpting at Moore College of Art and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. Her work has been exhibited in various galleries and acquired by a number of private collectors. Art and dance have been a catalyst in Wendy's lifelong study of the body, its holistic balance and their connection to complementary medicine. Wendy makes dance fun and easy, introducing a whole new dimension to life.
